It’s almost summer!
Time is faster since I write only once a month. I think I miss writing every week. Not that I have the time right now to be fully present on Substack that often, but because I felt more dedicated to supporting your tremendous work you do for our children. Some of you know how to reach out and ask for help, thank you for trusting me. Some others are glad to just read and let it be, and some still have to accept that sometimes asking for help is the best idea a parent could have. Please, dare! I am here for you! Ask me, I’ll try my best. I have so much material to write for you, but some subjects need a little more processing on my side before I decide how to lay it out for you. The human design types have to wait a little, just because I came across some new material that is more suitable for children, but first I have to make sure I digest it well so I can present the right light on it. Thank you for your patience.
Summer solstice is almost here and graduations are in every family, vacations planned, and airline tickets booked. Let us get through these busy times and then order a fresh, cold coconut to enjoy summer. This year I do not have the inspiration to write about graduating and honors but I invite you to read the last year’s post #41 where I gave good tips for summer vacations. It is always good to review some safety rules, to remind the whole family that it is important to stay close and together, especially while traveling. Also, freedom should be granted to all members of all ages. Practice getting in trouble during summer when you have time to come up with solutions, when you are not late for school or when everyone should have more patience to push the limits, try new boundaries, and come up with more fun ways to live life. Let’s admit that most fun is when we break some rules.
In today's letter I would like to suggest a really good post I just read from a father who writes Just Enough to Get Me in Trouble. Lyle McKeany wrote a letter to his daughter that touched me deeply. I could feel the love through the screen and I completely forgot to breathe for a second. We are all more familiar with a mother’s love, but when a father is dedicated to his child it has a different flavor to me. And I won’t get into details here because it will take 100 posts to finish on that subject… but please read the post, feel it, and share it with all the parents you know.
