Happy New Year!
I am excited to continue the communication adventure I started last year, just a few posts ago. You can find them all out here or click individually for posts #69 #73 # 74 and #75. It is always good to refresh some information. Repetition is the key in learning. Practicing is the key to mastery.
Communication skills
Communication is the process of exchanging information, ideas, thoughts, or feelings between individuals or groups. I find this definition nice and clear.
As evolved human beings we have the capacity to communicate using various ways and channels: verbal, written, digital, visual, non-verbal. Communication is a fundamental aspect of human interaction and it is essential for transmitting thoughts, emotions, and intentions in various personal, social, and professional contexts. It is very important to learn the skills of effective communication in order to live, to survive, to thrive, to grow, to develop, and to evolve.
In this post I will have some clear steps on what good communication is about and how to teach our little humans to talk in an effective way in life. I hope you liked the cute conversations I shared with you on the first day of 2024. The percentage of reading was lower than the rest of the year, so maybe you go back to read #75 Communications with little people, so the opening rate gets a little higher. Most importantly it is for you to get a piece of information that will help your parenting. If you don’t know your style read posts #37 Parenting styles (1) & #38 Parenting styles (2), it will inspire you to mold your parenting with a flexibility that makes your children capable, loved, and empowered.
When I communicate with children I always make sure I treat them like little people with big feelings. Because their emotional intelligence is not developed much they need a lot of attention and understanding, patience and love. I was told that I make working with children look so easy. It is super easy for me and I love it. Most parents think it is hard and you need a village for raising a child. I wish I could change this belief for all parents into “parenting is easy, fun, and full of love.” Yes, it starts with good communication. It might be challenging here and there, but good communication clears the craziness and makes life more enjoyable.
